That's me near the Can Tho USO (1969).
** I was assigned to the USAF
Operation Safeside
Combat Security Police unit
at Binh Thuy at the time. **
Sampans near Binh Thuy (1969)
Kids near Binh Thuy/Can Tho... Binh Thuy
is less than 10 miles from Can Tho in the
Mekong River Delta of South Vietnam (1969).
Photo of Binh Thuy Air Base flightline (1969).
The smaller aircraft, between the bunkers,
were used by the VNAF (Vietnamese Air Force).
South Vietnamese troops "chowing down."
Binh Thuy -- 1969
Two pigs -- Can Tho (1969).
Me -- Cam Ranh (1970).
Me outside the hooch at Cam Ranh Bay (1970).
Click the above map and another window will open with a
very large map of Vietnam and SE Asia.
On this particular night in Cam Ranh Bay (1970), an evening
rain arrives with the darkness of yet another night.
The photo of me above (1970) is at the check point at a village
called My Ca -- a Monastery is also located there. It is actually
very near the perimeter of Cam Ranh Bay Air Base, not too far
from the Naval Air Facility.
The USAF has since changed the name
of the USAF Security Police
to the USAF Security Forces.
